My friends call me Jacs or Jacquie. I’ve spent the better part of the last 15 years with Fitness being a huge part of my life whether it was because the Navy told me I had to run a 1.5 in a certain time or now because it has become a passion of mine. I spent 12 years in the Navy during which I was afforded the opportunity to return to Old Dominion University and complete my degree. I earned a degree in Health and Physical Education in 2011. A few short years and a few life altering personal events later, I found myself separating from the Navy. While it was hard to say goodbye to the only career I had known, I was able to truly decide what career path I was most excited to pursue. This is where personal training and Olympic lifting have taken over my life. I want nothing more than to share the joys fitness has brought to my life with others. Being physically active helped me through the hardest times of my life. I sought out a community like Meyer Fitness to hold me accountable and found so much more. Kettlebell Club, Fitness Playground and now Barbell Club offer such a unique dynamic at MF. You truly become a rag tag supportive, encouraging family. I want to expose others in the Hampton Roads community to this fitness environment at Meyer Fitness. My future endeavors include pursuing strength and conditioning certifications to further my professional knowledge.
